When it comes to choosing the best cruise line, there are a variety of factors to consider, such as the destinations offered, the onboard amenities, the level of service provided, and the price. With so many options available, it can be challenging to determine which cruise line is the best fit for you. In this blog post, we’ll explore some of the top contenders and their strengths to help you make an informed decision – looking at the Top 4 (which you may or may not disagree with!)

  1. Royal Caribbean International Royal Caribbean International is a popular cruise line known for its innovative ships and adventurous itineraries. Their ships offer a variety of onboard activities, such as rock climbing, ice skating, and surfing simulators. Royal Caribbean also has a partnership with DreamWorks Animation, offering guests the chance to meet characters like Shrek and Po from Kung Fu Panda. The line’s ships are also known for their top-notch dining options and Broadway-style entertainment.
  2. Carnival Cruise Line Carnival Cruise Line is another popular option, especially among families. The line’s ships offer a variety of activities for all ages, including water parks, mini-golf courses, and even an IMAX theater. Carnival is also known for its casual, laid-back atmosphere and lively nightlife. The line’s dining options range from casual eateries to upscale restaurants, and there are plenty of bars and lounges to choose from as well.
  3. Norwegian Cruise Line Norwegian Cruise Line is a popular choice for those who value flexibility and freedom. The line’s ships offer a “Freestyle Cruising” experience, which allows guests to choose when and where they eat, as well as dress codes and other preferences. Norwegian’s ships are also known for their onboard entertainment, which includes Broadway-style shows, comedy acts, and live music. The line’s ships also offer a variety of dining options, from casual eateries to specialty restaurants.
  4. Celebrity Cruises Celebrity Cruises is a more upscale option, known for its elegant ships and high level of service. The line’s ships offer a range of onboard activities, including cooking classes, wine tastings, and art auctions. Celebrity’s dining options are also a highlight, with a range of specialty restaurants and celebrity chef partnerships. The line’s ships also offer spa services and fitness classes for those looking to relax and stay active while at sea.

From a personal point of view, I love P&O cruises., who are, of course, part of Carnival PLC (not many know that!). With the choice above, we know we have focussed on ocean cruising and which cruise line is the best of that bunch, but we may write another on river cruising in the near future.

We know this is not a definite list and is only our small opinion on which each cruise line offers – there is so much more to take into consideration, such as drink packages, where the ships sail from and so much more. We will be updating this soon to take into consideration so much more – so please do leave you comments below to tell us which you think is best and why!
